Cost Reduction This 27g x 3/8" needle is insert molded into a special hub, that connects to a high pressure collagen injection gun utilizing a 2-56 internal thread. Also included is a custom, rigid plastic needle protector. The project had been stopped because metal hub costs were prohibitive, their performance under pressure was unreliable, and leakage around the hub was common. All of these problems and negative characteristics were eliminated with Hart's proprietary manufacturing techniques and insert molding.
